St. Greg's eighth grade hoops dominates CTK

The St. Gregory eighth grade Cougars (7-2) displayed its greatest offensive attack of the season with a commanding 39-13 victory over the Badgers of Christ the King.

Coaches Dr, Richard Gilbert and Jill Gervase were able to accrue points from each of the Cougars. Leading all scorers and matching CTK's entire offensive production was Colleen Logan with 13 points. Julietta Gervase and Maria Patnella each scored six points.

St. Gregory's guards Lisa Harb and Ali Gilbert contributed four points each. Concluding the scoring with two points each were Alisa Vacanti, Claire Mangano and Nicole Favre.

St. Greg's 32, St. Andrews 20

The St Gregory Cougars (6-2) bettered its record with a dominating victory over St Andrews.

Maria Patnella and Claire Mangano's defensive play stopped any St Andrews comeback. The Cougars had nine players scoring, led by Julie Gervase, with eight points. Lisa Harb scored five points from driving layups. Whitney Krantz also scored five points, three of which came from the foul line.

Colleen Logan scored four points from the offensive boards. Mary Kate O'Connor contributed three. Nicole Favre, Kaitlyn Curtin and Cathryn Suchan each scored two. Alisa Vacanti had one point.
