East boys swimming improves record

Williamsville East's boys swimming team improved to 7-2 after beating West Seneca East, 56-46, last Friday at West Seneca East.

The Flames had two double winners. Mike Anderson won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle in times of 1:58.08 and 5:19.82, respectively. Matt Geiger took first in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke in times of 2:09.63 and 58.66, respectively.

Neil Batta won the 100 free in 51.94. Kane Hsieh was the best in the 100 breast in 1:06.38. Hsieh also took second in the 200 IM in 2:17.15. Joe O'Gorman won diving in 183.50.

Thomas Mitchell placed second in the 200 free in 1:59.53.

East closes out the regular season with meets against Hamburg at 6 p.m. at Transit Middle School on Thursday and at 5 p.m. on Friday at Iroquois.

East hosted West Seneca West on Tuesday but the result was unavailable before The Bee went to press.
