Bride wears veils handmade by mother

Carleen Frances Kraus married Bart Thomas Sumbrum in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Williamsville. The Rev. Paul Seil officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia and Norman Kraus of East Amherst. The groom is the son of Mary and Bart Sumbrum of Buffalo.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore an Italian ivory, princess-style gown with a bodice adorned with pearl and crystal appliques. A cathedral-length veil was worn during the ceremony, and a fingertip-length veil was worn during the reception. Both were handmade by her mother. She carried a bouquet of white roses with ruscus leaves.
The maid of honor was Camryn Kraus, sister of the bride. The matron of honor was Kathryn Greene, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Kristen Kraus and Kimberly Gilbert, sisters of the bride, and Jennifer Fredo and Claire and Abbie Sumbrum, sisters of the groom. The flower girl was Madeline Kraus, niece of the bride.
The best man was Mark Sumbrum, cousin of the groom. The ushers were John Gilmour, Charles Priore, Christopher Sterlace, Michael Gangloff, Ryan Shanahan and Kevin Kwietniak, friends of the groom.
The ring bearers were Jeffrey Fredo and Patrick Gilbert, nephews of the groom.
A reception was held at the Statler Towers Terrace Room in Buffalo.
The couple took a Caribbean cruise for their honeymoon.
