      The proposal for commercial development of the former Buffalo Shooting Club property is a huge mistake. It is inappropriate for a residential neighborhood, and paradoxically, it defies, even mocks, Amherst's own Comprehensive Plan.

Scholastic control board needed
      Each year in September our assessment office is besieged by taxpayers. They blame our town administration for the school taxes. In 2008, with a recession looming and local salaries not keeping par with living costs, I imagine the number of disgruntled citizens will swell.

Mohan should vote on Maple project
      A recent letter by Mr. Bill Fleming called on Supervisor Satish Mohan to recuse himself from voting on the redevelopment of the former Buffalo Shooting Club because the supervisor was an employee of the University at Buffalo, which supports the project. Why is that a conflict?
