• PLAYHOUSE OF AMERICAN CLASSICS - Nine boys and one girl are sought for children's roles. Children will be asked to read scenes from scripts. Auditions by appointment only by calling 862-9531. Auditions to be held at Buffalo & Erie County Historical Museum, 25 Nottingham Court, Buffalo.

• BEAUTY AND THE BEAST -

Artpark & Company, Inc. will hold auditions for its upcoming Mainstage Theater production of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast." Local auditions will be held on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1 and 2. Singers, dancers and actors age 18 and older of all ethnicities are being sought. There is also a need for male actors in the 9- to 12-year-old age range who are 5-feet tall or shorter and whose voices have not yet changed. Finally, a strong female or male gymnast, age 16 or older and with the ability to tumble without a mat, is sought to play the role of Carpet. An accompanist will be provided at all auditions. • BILOXI BLUES - The Towne Players of Kenmore-Tonawanda will hold auditions for their upcoming production of Neil Simon's "Biloxi Blues," from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 5 and 6 at the Sheridan-Parkside Community Center, 169 Sheridan-Parkside Drive, Tonawanda. Six men, ages 17 to 35, and t wo women, age 17 to 30, and 30-55, are needed. There will be a cold reading from the script. Call 912-5284 for more information.

• AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF MUSICAL STUDIES - Auditions for the AIMS 40th Summer Vocal Institute in Graz, Austria, will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29 at Canisius College's Lyons Hall, Room 309, 2001 Main St., Buffalo.
