St. Greg's eighth grade hoopsters beat St. Mark's

In the rematch between the St. Greg's and St. Mark's eighth grade girls basketball teams, the battle continued with 45 fouls being called. St. Greg's won 36-31.

St. Greg's defense, led by Mary Kate O'Connor and Catherine Suchan, stiffened and allowed an incredible fourth quarter comeback.

St. Greg's Ali Gilbert and Julie Gervase led the scoring with eight points each. Whitney Krantz, Maria Patnella and Nicole Favre each added four points. Lisa Harb contributed three points. Claire Mangano and Alisa Vacanti each put in two. Rounding out the scoring was Colleen Logan with one point. St. Greg's is 5-2.
