Titan swimmers have success at Bronze District meet

The Town of Tonawanda Titans sent 35 athletes to the Niagara District Bronze meet January 12-13.

Eighteen clubs participated in the meet, sending 385 swimmers. In the course of the two-day meet, the Titan swimmers earned 35 new silver times, three new gold times and 106 personal-best times.

Amherst resident Hayley Hofmar Glennon had a phenomenal meet, cutting 15.17 seconds from her events. All of Hofmar-Glennon's hard work resulted in personal-best times in every event she swam.

Hofmar-Glennon qualified for finals in all of her swims - 50 and 100 freestyle, 50 and 100 backstroke, and 50 and 100 breaststroke.

Amherst resident Haley Epstein was very determined in the 50 free, 50 breast and 100 IM. Epstein was especially triumphant in the 50 breast with a new personal-best time.

Every Titan athlete achieved some of their personal goals. The swimmers are now setting their sights on the Gold IMX meet. For more information, visit www.ttscswimming. com.
