Big Band Dance will feature Amherst Jazz Band

The Amherst Central High School's bands and orchestras will host their 13th annual Big Band Dance and Silent Auction from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 in the school's gym, 4301 Main St.

The award-winning jazz ensemble will provide music for dancing. During the dance, hundreds of donated items will be auctioned off.

The dance and silent auction fundraiser are held each year to help students with the cost of the spring music tour. This year the groups are planning a trip to Florida for a performance on the Walt Disney World stages.

Tickets are available at the door for $5. Refreshments will be available.
