Tax help available at libraries Free tax help will be available for people age 60 and older by Internal Revenue Service-certified volunteers from Tuesday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, April 10 at the Amherst public libraries. Volunteers will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at the Main Library at Audubon, 350 Audubon Parkway, Amherst; from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays at the Clearfield Branch, 770 Hopkins Road; from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays at the Eggertsville/Snyder Branch, 4622 Main St.; and from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays at the Williamsville branch. Those seeking help should bring 2007 tax packets, returns from last year and all other documents, such as W2Ps and 1099s. Tax help is also available for seniors at the Amherst Senior Center, 370 Audubon Parkway, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays. To make an appointment, call 636-3059.
