Black Sabres outlast Bruins

The Black Sabres used an outstanding goaltending performance from Joe Picone and a great defense to defeat the Bruins, 3-1, in a tight checking Amherst Hockey Association Pee Wee game. Picone made some outstanding saves and only a power-play goal by Adam Herr ruined his shutout bid.

The Sabres' defensive core of Matt Deeb, Brendan Mazurek, AJ Neubert and Jason Raimondi was outstanding. Mazurek and Neubert registered goals.

Center Ryan Myers scored the Sabres' final tally while forwards Alex Touma, Peter Sinagra and Justin LaMonto chipped in great defensive efforts.

The Bruins received excellent play from Jim Roberto and Tyler Utz.
