Blizzard soccer blank Clarence

Matt Casey and Alex Olczak scored two goals apiece and Matt Cohen also scored as the Amherst Blizzard U10 soccer team defeated Clarence, 5-0, to open the indoor season.

Casey got the Blizzard on the board with a penalty kick and Olczak extended the lead to 2-0 before halftime. Cohen scored early in the second half and Casey and Olczak both tallied again to make it 5-0.

Bobby Maranto, Nick Maranto, Alex Pieri and Lev Lascu recorded assists. Goalies Ryan Olear and Brennan Hurley combined for the shutout. Nick Maranto and Pieri played well defensively in front of their goalkeepers.
