UB Women's Club plans wine tasting party

The UB Women's Club's annual wine tasting party will feature the food and wine of France.

The event is planned for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at the Buffalo Launch Club, 503 E. River Road, Grand Island. The cost is $60 per person, and reservations are required by Feb. 5.

Co-chairs are Ellen Pierino and Luella Kenney.

• The club will hold a book club meeting on Feb. 14 to review the book "Persuasion" by Jane Austin. Norma Millar will lead the discussion.

• The Craft Group will meet at JoAnn's store on Niagara Falls Boulevard. to learn how to create a knitted purse. The cost is $5 per person plus materials.

• International Club co-chairs Meena Rustgi and Phyllis Stasiowski are planning a winter theme brunch for international students on Feb. 19 in Room 210 at the Student Union Building on the North Campus.

• Women's Club cookbooks are available at the cost of $15. The price includes a donation to the Grace Capen Award Academic Award Fund.

• The Bridge Club meets at the Dandelion's Restaurant at 10 a.m. on the first and third Mondays.
