Baynes

Anthony J. Baynes of Amherst has been appointed to the Buffalo State College Foundation Board, his alma mater. He is chairman of the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority and also chairs the A.J. Baynes Group, encompassing Extra Mile Transportation, LLC; A.J. Baynes Freight Contractors, Ltd.; and Evolution Development, LLC.

Roberta Rifkin of Williamsville has been named Independent Health's vice president of government affairs. She will analyze and monitor legislative and regulatory activities and develop company positions. She is the primary contact with local, state and federal representatives.

Annette Fachko, general manager and multiple listing service director for Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS, based in Amherst, recently marked 30 years of employment with the company.

David R. Dougherty of East Amherst, a medical oncologist with Buffalo Medical Group, PC, has been awarded the honorary degree of fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists for excellence in the practice of internal medicine. He is program director and chief of the Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program for the Catholic Health System.

Steven Lloyd of Williamsville has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Chakra Communications Inc. He started his career in sales management at Moore Business Forms and Systems in 1982 and has spent the last 10 years working in sales and marketing leadership positions.

Dr. Vijay Kumar, president and chief executive officer of IMMCO Diagnostics Inc., located in Amherst, has been named to the board of directors for World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. IMMCO Diagnostics Inc. is a leader in the field of autoimmune diagnostics services and medical device manufacturing and distribution.
