Christopher J. Lauricella has been named head of the Park School of Buffalo, according to P. Jeffrey Birtch, president of the Park board of trustees, and Lawrence Schreiber, a trustee who chaired the school's Head Search Committee.
Lauricella, who will assume his duties on July 1, is currently head of the Upper School at The Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The New York State native is a graduate of Oneonta State College and holds a master's degree in educational administration, with a focus on private school leadership, from Columbia University's Teachers College. He has been a teacher and administrator for 14 years.
He will replace Don Grace, who will complete his fourth year in the position at the end of the school year.
When Grace announced his resignation in July, he cited family health concerns as the reason for his decision to relocate to the New England area at the completion of this academic year. He is currently a resident of Williamsville.
