Mirand directs Flyers over Penguins, 5-1

The Squirt Flyers beat the Penguins with another multiple-goal contribution by Matt Mirand.

Scoring once in the second and twice in the third, Mirand posted his third consecutive game with a hat trick. Hudson Milligan and Kyle Conover assisted on Mirand's second and third goals.

The Flyers' Andrew Mosher (Noah Bachwitz, Noah Rosenthal) scored, but not before Mirand netted his fourth from Max Marko and Brian Wiktorowski.

The Penguins' Sarah Scholnick (Austin Ballard, Max Tracy) scored.

Alex Streng played another strong game in net for the Flyers.

Flyer stars were Conover, Bachwitz, Rosenthal and Mirand. Marko got the game puck.

Squirt Flyers edge Sharks

The Squirt Flyers beat the Sharks, 2-1, in a tightly played game.

Andrew Mosher opened the scoring for the Flyers on an assist from Noah Bachwitz.

The Sharks' Connor Lalime tied the game.

Late in the third period, Matt Mirand got the go-ahead goal for the Flyers, who managed to hold on with strong goaltending from Alex Streng.

The Flyers' three stars were the entire team for a strong defensive effort, Brian Wiktorowski and Jacob Zurat. The game puck was awarded to Andrew Mosher for being in position each shift he was on the ice.
