Flames to host inaugural homecoming, alumni match

Williamsville East loved hosting a homecoming football game in the fall that they are trying it in the winter with the wrestling team.

The inaugural Williamsville East wrestling homecoming alumni match will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at East High School, 151 Paradise Road, East Amherst.

"The wrestling booster club has been very active over the last couple of years," said East coach Henry Fumerelle. "We get such great crowds for homecoming football games that we're going to try to emulate that for the wrestling team."

A catered reception for all former East wrestling alumni will be held at 5 p.m. in the East wrestling room. The match against Williamsville South will be held at 6 p.m. in the main gym.
