Barbara Crawford, of Clarence, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2007.

Born in

Born in Mankato, Minn., and raised in Western Springs, Ill., Mrs. Crawford attended Michigan State University.

She was a special education aide at Clarence Middle School. She was a former cheerleading coach at Clarence High School and youth director at St. John's Lutheran Church in West Seneca.

A 37-year member of St. John Lutheran Church of Amherst, Mrs. Crawford served on the church council for more than 25 years in various capacities, including president. She was also involved with the confirmation of the church's youth.

Mrs. Crawford was on the board of directors of the Niagara Lutheran Health System. She was a former member of the Clarence Contemporary Club, the League of Women Voters and the Western New York Panhellenic Association.

She is survived by her husband, John G.; four sons, Glenn H., Steven E., Michael J. and Jeffrey S.; one sister, Marlys Wing; and four grandchildren.

Services were held on Dec. 20 at St. John Lutheran Church, Amherst. Arrangements were made by Carlton A. Ullrich Funeral Home.Picasa 2.7
