Fund to provide seniors with emergency pet care services

The Pet Emergency Fund announced that, due to a recent bequest from the estate of Mrs. Alice Poynton, the Pet Emergency Fund has created the "Hadji Fund," named after Mrs. Poynton's beloved dog, Hadji.

This fund will provide financial assistance to needy senior citizens faced with the need for emergency care for their pets, according to The Pet Emergency Fund.

"We want to use that money specifically to help defray the cost of emergency veterinary care for senior pet owners, who should ask their veterinarians about the Pet Emergency Fund if they believe they are in need of assistance," said Sarah Tollner, a member of the Pet Emergency Fund's board of directors,

The Pet Emergency Fund also encourages area pet owners and anyone interested in the care of pets to donate to the Pet Emergency Fund through charitable bequests as well as monetary donations.

The Pet Emergency Fund is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to pet owners in need during emergency situations with their pets. Through the generous donations of area pet lovers, the Pet Emergency Fund has helped over 1,300 pets throughout Western New York.
