YMCA to offer new wellness program YMCA Buffalo Niagara will offer fitblue, a wellness program available to eligible Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Western New York Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO plan members, at all six area YMCA branches. Seniors participating in the fitblue program have the opportunity to stay active and healthy by taking advantage of YMCA member benefits such as use of the wellness center and swimming pool. The YMCA offers many senior friendly classes such as Aquafit, tai chi, and YMCA Healthy Back and offers a variety of exercise classes designed with older adults in mind. The program will cost members an annual membership fee of $5. Eligible members must be registered for the benefit and can obtain their fitblue membership card through Prism Health Network by contacting the customer service department from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 712-2830 or toll free at 1-877-4fitblue or 877-434-8258.
