• ARTWORK SELECTED -

Local teenager, Laura Schmitz of Tonawanda, is among 30 students worldwide whose work was selected for display as part of the Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) Studio Art exhibit at the Savannah College of Art and Design's Atlanta gallery. This collection is some of the finest artwork created by high school students who submitted portfolios for the AP Studio Art Exam in May 2007. Free and open to the public, the artwork will be on display at the Savannah College of Art and Design's Atlanta gallery through Jan. 28 before moving to Chicago then Newport Beach, Calif.

• WINTER/ SPRING WORK SHOPS - CEPA Gallery is offering photography and digital imaging workshops in its education facility, located alongside the Underground Gallery at CEPA's Market Arcade location, 617 Main St., Buffalo. Classes include various photography and graphic design (Mac-based). For specific classes and costs, call 856-2717, or e-mail info@cepagallery.com. The first class begins Jan. 17.
