Amherst Squirts topple Saints

The Squirt Minor "AA" beat a determined Saints' squad, 3-1, Tuesday night at the Pepsi Center.

Jordan Jenneve opened the scoring in the first with Connor Bender providing the helper.

Amherst kept the pressure on in the second, getting two goals less than a minute apart. Ben Reichert converted a Nick Carbone pass to make it 2-0, and then Connor Wagner took a Dylan Wild feed and found the net for Amherst's final tally.

The Saints spoiled the shutout early in the third but could not beat Knights' goalie Jacob Siegel again.
