Joseph B. Giovino, 86, of Amherst, died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007 at Northgate Manor Health Care.

Giovino

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Giovino served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a sales representative at Metropolitan Life for 30 years.

Mr. Giovino was a member of the Western New York Musicians Union in Buffalo for 60 years and the Knights of Columbus for 40 years. He played the saxophone and was a band and orchestra member. He also played in the St. Patrick's Day parade each year and was an avid gardener.

He is survived by one son, Ronald; one daughter, Elaine; and two brothers, Fred and Gary.

Services were held Dec. 29 at St. Christopher Church. Arrangements were made by Amigone Funeral Home Inc.
