College seminar set at library Parents of high school sophomores and juniors are invited to a complimentary college planning class entitled "How to Choose the Best College for Your Student and Your Pocketbook" which will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Williamsville Library, 5571 Main St., between Village and Town halls. The class focuses on high school sophomores and juniors, but all grade levels are welcome. In this class parents and students will learn: • How to help students know which college to apply to. • How to increase your chances of getting into your dream college. • The five questions you need to get answered before you apply to the college. • How to position your student to get scholarships from the college of choice. • How to balance the cost of education vs. the value of the degree earned. • How to get a "tax scholarship" for college. • How to position your finances to get merit aid. Space is limited so reservations are suggested.
