Biting farce
Theater
Douglas Carter Beane's Tony Award-nominated comedy, "The Little Dog Laughed," will be presented by Buffalo United Artists, Friday, Jan. 4 through Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Alleyway Theatre.

Dubbed "the tastiest homegrown comedy of manners to hit New York in years," by Ben Brantley of The New York Times, "The Little Dog Laughed" is a deliciously biting farce about Hollywood. The players in this hilarious comedy include a screen idol hiding in the closet, an ambitious male prostitute and his naive girlfriend and a brash, driven Hollywood agent who can spin anyone and everything. "The Little Dog Laughed" was a 2007 Tony nominee for Best Play.

The production, directed by Javier Bustillos, features Caitlin Coleman, Rebecca Elkin, Kevin Keleher and Marc Sacco.

It opens at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 and continues at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Alleyway Theatre, 1 Curtain Up Alley, Buffalo. For more information and tickets, call 886-9239 or visit www.buffalobua.org. No one under 18 will be admitted.
