Heim Middle School, in the Williamsville District, has received a $1,000 grant from Target Department Store. The funds will support "Looking at Contemporary Art with the Cleveland Museum of Art," allowing eight videoconferences with the museum and the eighth-grade classes.

Thom Knab, an art teacher at Dodge Elementary, was named the New York State Art Education Association Region 1 Art Educator of the Year. The honoree was chosen by art teachers within the region.
