In addition to providing annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs, garden tools, mulch and other such products, it offers the services of two full-time landscape designers.

"They're right here in this building for anyone who comes in," said Jauch.

Although Gardens by Greenview, at 10880 Transit Road, East Amherst, opened on May 1, the employees offer years of experience in the field. Jauch has been working with garden-related businesses since 1971.

"We 're the people you need to come to if you've got a question," he said.

The landscapers will give free advice, and estimates are also given at no cost.

Jauch said the business had 5,000 to 6,000 plants in addition to perennials, earlier this year. The location will also offer seasonal products, such as pumpkins, mums and flower bulbs during the fall, and will become a Christmas store featuring high-end ornaments and indoor decorations in addition to Christmas trees.

Inventory will also include houseplants and products to help plants endure the cold winter successfully.

Another distinctive aspect of service at Gardens by Greenview is its affiliation with Greenview Landscaping, one of the largest landscaping companies in Western New York. Because the two businesses have the same owners, customers can sign up for services that include snow plowing, patio installation, home and garden irrigation and landscaping design and installation at Gardens by Greenview.

"This is what separates us from everyone else," said Jauch. "We don't just sell flowers in the springtime. We have all these services we can offer."

Free delivery is available with a purchase of $150 in the service area, about five to seven miles from the store. In addition to delivery, the business will install trees, he said.

Seminars will be scheduled throughout the year on topics including wild birds and container gardening for herbs, roses and vegetables.

He said those looking for help designing jaw-dropping landscapes can get assistance, whether they want a complete outdoor kitchen, a water feature or something else.

"What's exciting about this to me — if you have an idea, bring it to us. We'll make it happen," he said.
