Friday, July 18 • A complainant called from a school on Transit Road, stating that he heard youths on the roof about five or 10 minutes earlier but couldn't hear them anymore. • A cab driver called from Tonawanda Creek Road, reporting that she had an intoxicated male passed out in the back seat and would like assistance in waking him up. • A Fairlawn Drive resident reported eight little ducklings in her pool and said she couldn't get them out. Saturday, July 19 • On Snyder Woods Court, a complainant said youths were shooting an air gun but the complainant then thought it was a paint ball gun. When the youths were finished shooting they reportedly went for a swim, and the complainant said they were being loud. Police advised a dad who was supervising a party. • A woman on Little Robin Road called to report that her underage daughter was intoxicated because her boyfriend gave her alcohol. She said the couple were now driving in a car that had a skull on the hood. • A woman complained that a cab driver ripped her wallet from her hand on American Campus Drive. She had reportedly attempted to skip out on the fare, and the driver detained her. She called back, demanding police respond because she wasn't happy with the outcome of the incident, while the driver filed aggravated harassment charges. Sunday, July 20 • A car chase took place on Transit Road. When the "inexperienced" driver stopped, he said he did not hear the sirens. • Police were called to a hotel on Main Street about an intoxicated female in the driveway. Her boyfriend was a limo driver and was reportedly trying to get her to leave, and she refused. Amherst Fire Control was also notified after the female fell down the stairs. • A caller on Robin Road reported that a suspicious man on a bike had plastic bags on his feet and was yelling at the complainant. Police spoke with the man, who said he was meeting his wife for dinner. Monday, July 21 • Police responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Parrish Court where a woman reportedly made a three-point turn and took off quickly. Her explanation was that she had been removing her piercings before going home. • A birdbath was taken from a Meadow Spring Lane address overnight and was replaced with a large sign. Tuesday, July 22 • Police were called about reckless operation of a vehicle on Interstate 990. Someone reported that a driver was all over the road. Police said the individual was not intoxicated, just a bad driver. • A Longmeadow Road resident complained that a neighbor hired someone to cut his tree. Police advised him that it was a civil matter. • A Callodine Avenue resident asked to speak with the warden about a neighbor not cleaning up after his dog. Wednesday, July 23 • A Spring Street resident reported that youths had shot off a rocket-shaped firework earlier in the morning, possibly causing the Reist Street barn fire. • A Harrogate Square resident complained that a bunny couldn't get out of a gully. • On Landings Drive, a resident reported that a tornado just went over her house. She said she heard a loud noise that sounded like a train, debris was all over the outside and the road was flooded. Police found no evidence of a tornado. • An Allenhurst Road woman called police, complaining that her 10-year-old granddaughter would not come inside. The subject was outside at the neighbor's. Thursday, July 24 • A mother called from East Summerset Lane to report that her 16-year-old daughter wouldn't go to summer school. The girl was heard crying in the background. No problem was found, and she agreed to go to school. • Police were called to Cherrywood Drive about a man staggering around and yelling. He had been looking for his dog and wasn't confused, as originally reported. • An injured rat was reported in a Deer Run Court driveway. • A Niagara Falls Boulevard store employee reported that a man filled out a credit application and was denied. The man then took a power tool. His information was on the application, and he was also on videotape. |
