Neighbors show support for plan on Campbell
      Many residents from Foxberry Drive said they support a proposed 32-unit condominium development at 479 and 489 Campbell Blvd. While there were some from the development who spoke against the project at Monday's public hearing, the majority of speakers said they wanted to see the condos built.

Records are made to be broken
     Williamsville South sophomore Allie VanBuren clears a hurdle in the Division I 100-meter hurdle preliminaries at the New York State Track and Field Championships on Friday at the University at Buffalo. VanBuren finished second in the Division I 100 hurdles in 14.75 and fourth in the Federation race in 14.55. She also set a new Section VI record in the 400 hurdles, going 1:00.7 in the Federation race for third. VanBuren placed second in the girls Division I 400 hurdles race in 1:01.28. Strawberry social planned at Island Park
      The Williamsville Rotary Club will host its annual strawberry social from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Island Park at the rear of Williamsville Village Hall, 5565 Main St. The event benefits the Amherst Youth Board. Admission is $5 per person and $3 for children under 12. Tickets are available at Village Hall.

School district acquires Mill Street property
      For the price of $120,000, the Williamsville School District is one step closer to improving traffic flow around Mill Middle School. During last week's meeting, the School Board authorized the purchase of property at 437 Mill St., located near the south end of the campus. The district will use the unappropriated fund balance to purchase the property.
