Ford unveils new Flex crossover

      On the same day Ford Motor Co. announced it will be involuntarily laying off more than 2,000 salaried employees by Aug. 1, the Buffalo Stamping Plant on Lake Shore Road in Hamburg celebrated the upcoming release of its latest contribution to the company: the new Ford Flex.

      First KidBiz date set for June 14 The Buffalo State College Small Business Development Center has scheduled its annual three-day KidBiz program. The first part is set for Saturday, June 14, on Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway. The outdoor event will feature third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade children selling items in a lawn sale setup.

Amherst Chamber to hold orientation meeting on tour of China
      The Amherst Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce and CITSLINC, is offering a tour of China in November. The nine-day tour runs from Nov. 8-16 and is open to Amherst Chamber members and nonmembers.
