Wisconsin beats Michigan, wins fifth-grade division two title

The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 24-21, last Saturday to win the Amherst Youth Basketball fifth grade boys' division two championship. Wisconsin was able to put together an outstanding defensive effort.

The Badgers were led in scoring by Brad Zaffram's 11 points.

Josh Hammer (seven), Joe Adcock (four) and Pat Irving (two) also contributed.

Michigan was led by Jeffery Calderon and Jaelin Marong (six each), Eric Duran (five), and Alex Smith (three). Defensively, Wisconsin was led by Lucas Conti, Liam Greiner and Mandela Namaste.

Jack Grossman and Patrick Farracca controlled the boards on the offensive and defensive end of the floor.
