Amherst resident earns $75,000 from fantasy football site

Amherst resident David Stang is the $75,000 third-place winner of PayTheFan.com's first ever, season-long fantasy football game.

Stang was awarded his $75,000 check by football legend Terry Bradshaw at a ceremony on Feb. 28 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nev. It's one of the largest cash prizes ever for fantasy football.

"I first got involved in fantasy football back in high school playing with the guys," said Stang. "The best thing about PayTheFan.com is that it captures that same feeling of playing with the best in fantasy sports. There's nothing like the thrill of victory, especially with so much money on the line."

PayTheFan.com was launched in August 2007 offering season and weekly fantasy football games, in addition to the "Ten Race Chase" fantasy racing game. The prize purse for the fantasy games at PayTheFan.com currently is at the top of the industry at more than one million dollars in cash prizes awarded.
