Amherst Town Board council members seek resumes to fill committees
Council Member Guy Marlette is looking for fresh ideas from fresh voices when choosing appointments for Town of Amherst committees.
"We keep getting the same people. I would tell people to contact me if they want to be a part of the process," he said.
Council Member Mark Manna is also seeking residents to fill several vacancies. They both have openings on the following committees:
• Committee on Disabilities
• Community Diversity Commission
• Citizens Advisory Committee on Privacy
• Citizens Salary Review Commission
• Deer Adaptive Management
• Historic Preservation
• Rodent Control Citizens Advisory Committee
• Town/School Consolidation & Sharing Citizens Advisory Board
• Government Study Committee
• Information Technology Advisory Committee
Manna has an opening on the Government Study Committee and the Information Technology Advisory Committee.

Council Member Deborah Bruch Bucki is also seeking candidates for the Board of Assessment Review, the Board of Ethics, the Employee Suggestion Review Board, the Employee Suggestion Program Merit Award Board, the Glen Park Joint Board, Amherst Citizens Salary Review Commission and the Solid Waste Committee. Those are subject to board majority approval.
"I would be interested in hearing from any residents who might want to submit their resumes for consideration for appointment to these committees," she said.

Supervisor Satish Mohan also has openings and is looking for interested participants. In addition to those boards and committees named by Bucki, he is seeking members for: Arts and Culture Board, Citizens Advisory Committee on Privacy, Deer Adaptive Management, Information Technology Advisory Committee/ Cable TV Committee and Plumbing Board.
