Couple celebrate 60th anniversary with family

Christine and Charles Bauer of West Seneca celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.

Charles Bauer married the former Christine Jahner on Dec. 27, 1947 at St. Paul's Church in Yakima, Wash.

Charles served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific for four years. He is retired from Donner Hanna Coke Corporation, where he worked as a plant general foreman. Christine is a retired nurses' assistant with Mercy Hospital.

They are members of St. William's Church in West Seneca. The couple have five children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
