Gavin P. Petrie and Sarah M. Pechulis

Barbara and Charles Pechulis of Hamburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Michele Pechulis, to Gavin Patrick Petrie, son of Doreen and James Petrie of Williamsville.

Miss Pechulis graduated from Hamburg High School in 1998. She received a degree in English education from Ithaca College in 2002 and a master's degree in literacy from the University at Buffalo in 2006. She is an eighth-grade English teacher at Sweet Home Middle School and a member of the Buffalo Choral Arts Society.

Her fiance graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1997. He received a degree in music education from Capital University in 2001 and a master's degree in music education from the University at Buffalo in 2006. He is a music teacher at Sweet Home Middle School.

Miss Pechulis and her fiance are members of the local jazz group, The Gavin Petrie Trio.

An August 2008 wedding is planned.
