Katelyn E. Kloc and Jesse D. Burns

Pamela and Bruce Kloc of Clarence announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Emily Kloc, to Jesse Daniel Burns, son of JoEllen and Daniel Burns of Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Clarence.

Miss Kloc graduated from Clarence High School in 2003. She received a bachelor's degree in secondary English education from Buffalo State College, where she will pursue a master's degree in 2008. She is a teaching assistant at Cheektowaga Central Middle School.

Her fiance graduated from Clarence High School in 2003. He is pursuing an associate degree in culinary arts at Erie Community College and is a cook at the Saturn Club in Buffalo.

A July 2008 wedding is planned.
