Union College wins two

Union College, playing in a development division, won its two recent hockey games.

St. Lawrence 1

In the second period, Nell Maosky scored unassisted to give St. Lawrence a 1-0 lead.

Union's Miranda Podlas would tie the game on a breakaway. Podlas scored the game winner with 1:01 left.

Theresa Maosky would provide St. Lawrence the opportunity with some fabulous saves.

Great plays by Union's Rachel Farr, Brianna Stressinger and Corrine Shanahan kept the score very close. Efforts made by Union's Emily Beauchamp and Emily Keable were thwarted by St. Lawrence goalie Theresa Maosky.

Union College 3, Clarkson 1

Emma Hubert of Union College would open the scoring in the first period, unassisted.

Mackenzie Paulter, off a beautiful pass from Alicia Oswald, made it 2-1 in the second.

Clarkson would come back and score, but Union's Corrine Shanahan would pick up a breakaway and score in the third.

Union's Sarah O'Brien, Becca Searns, Page Pautler, and Margaret Mugel provided great effort.

Union goalie Abby Posner made some great stops on Clarkson with their two power plays. Clarkson's team put forth a valiant effort.
