Penguins outlast Red Wings in thriller

The Squirt Penguins beat the Red Wings, 3-2, on Sunday in a game that wasn't decided until the last second.

The Penguins opened up the scoring in the first period with a great individual effort from Austin Ballard. It stayed tight until the Pens pulled ahead early in the third, when Sarah Scholnick scored assisted from Dylan Kertzie.

The Wings didn't give up as they tallied twice late in the third with goals by Mike Kreuz and Andrew Goss. But with one second on the clock, Ballard closed the game, assisted from Scholnick, for an amazing finish.
