Gold Sabres edge Black Sabres

The Micron Gold Sabres (3-1-1) held on to beat the Black Sabres (1-4-0), 6-5, on Sunday in a highly competitive game.

Gold Sabre goalie John Walp made a last-second save to preserve the victory. Scoring goals for the Gold were Trevor Kuntar, Trevor Galante, Victoria Willick, Ethan Ruggiero and two from Zachery Esch.

Playing excellent defense for the Gold were Nicholas Haas and Jack Gilbert.

The Black was led with four goals from Adian Hillery and a single tally from Jacob Campanella. Also turning in fine performances for the Black were Alex Pronobis, Thomas Peers and goalie Sam Latorre.
