Wolff earns conference honors for second consecutive week Williamsville native Jamie Wolff, a senior guard for the St. Lawrence University women's basketball team, was named Liberty League Co-Guard of the Week on Dec. 10 after leading the Saints to their sixth consecutive win on Friday, Dec. 7 against Ithaca College. It is the second week in a row Wolff has received the honor from the conference and the third time this season. The 2004 Nardin Academy graduate posted a game-high 22 points in a 72-60 win over the Bombers, shooting 9 for 15 from the field and 4 for 9 from beyond the arc. She also tallied a game-high seven assists, three rebounds and one steal. Wolff has scored in double digits in eight out of nine games for the Saints, and her 22 points over Ithaca was her fourth game this season with over 20 points. She is the league's leading scorer. St. Lawrence (8-1) return to action at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4 against Geneseo State College. Wolff is a former high school all-star and two-time first-team Western New York player. |
