Ettore A. Infanti, bricklayer Ettore A. Infanti, 86, of Amherst, died on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at Beechwood Health Care Center. Born in Fiume Veneto, Italy, Mr. Infanti served in the U.S. Army in Normandy, Holland and Bastogne during World War II, receiving a Bronze Star Medal. He worked as a bricklayer for Bricklayers Local Union 3 for more than 50 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, as well as hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He was a Boy Scout leader in the 1950s. Mr. Infanti was predeceased by his wife, Livia, in 1991. He is survived by two sons, David and Paul; one brother, Nello; and six grandchildren. Services were held Monday, Dec. 17 at St. Leo the Great Church in Amherst. |
