Gavin P. Petrie and Sarah M. Pechulis

Barbara and Charles Pechulis of Hamburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah M. Pechulis, to Gavin P. Petrie, son of Doreen and James Petrie of Williamsville.

Miss Pechulis graduated from Hamburg High School in 1999 and received a degree in English education with a minor in music from Ithaca College in 2003. She is an eighth-grade English teacher at Sweet Home Middle School and sings with the Buffalo Choral Arts Society.

Her fiance graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1997 and received a degree in music education from Capital University in 2001. He is a music teacher at Sweet Home Middle School and a member of the Erie County Music Educators Association.

Miss Pechulis and her fiance perform around Buffalo with The Gavin Petrie Trio.

An August 2008 wedding is planned.
