Northpointe Toastmasters holding membership drive

For those who react with fear at the thought of giving a toast at a friend's wedding or a brief presentation for a client, Northpointe Toastmasters might be able to help.

Northpointe Toastmasters is a chartered club of Toastmasters International, a nonprofit organization that gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training, seminars and speech contests.

Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches and offering constructive evaluations. Northpointe Toastmasters is currently holding a membership drive, and all are welcome to join.

Meetings are held from noon to 1 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month at 25 Northpointe Parkway, Suite A, Amherst.
