Weinberg winter lectures continue

Weinberg Campus will continue its Winter Readiness Week of free informational sessions Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 12-14.

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, the theme will be Winter Fun. Lectures on winter cooking tips will be provided by representatives from the Weinberg food services and a winter animal safety lecture will be given by representatives from Lakeview Animal Sanctuary.

From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 the theme will be home safety with lectures on disaster readiness by the American Red Cross and managing winter energy needs and the Conservation Incentive Program by National Fuel.

Closing out the week's activities will be lectures on wildlife in winter by the Buffalo Museum of Science and the after effects of the October Storm by the Buffalo Olmstead Parks Conservancy from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

All lectures will be held at the Weinberg Amherst Campus, 2700 N. Forest Road, Amherst. Space is limited.
