Model building sessions set by youth board

A basic plastic model builders class for youth ages 5-14 years will be held Saturdays, beginning Jan. 19 through Feb. 23.

Registration for the six week session includes model, paint, supplies and instruction. Advance registration and a small registration fee are required to participate.

Youth ages 5 and 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Participants are asked to bring a shoe box to hold supplies.

Sessions will take place at the Harlem Road Community Center Youth Center, 4255 Harlem Rd., Amherst, and will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

Registration and supply fee is $12 for Amherst residents and $17 for non-residents. Checks may be made payable to the Amherst Youth Board.

Deadline to register is Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The model builders club is made possible by the Town of Amherst Youth Board, in partnership with the Niagara Frontier International Plastic Modelers Society.
