Nicholas J. Primerano and 2nd Lt. Susan M. Eckert

Chong Eckert of Rhinebeck, N.Y., and Frederick Eckert of Albuquerque, N.M., announce the engagement of their daughter, 2nd Lt. Susan Mae Eckert, to Nicholas Joseph Primerano, son of Christine and Robert Primerano of Williamsville.

Miss Eckert graduated from Millbrook Junior-Senior High School in 2001 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2005. She is in her third year of medical school at the University at Buffalo and is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

Her fiance graduated from Williamsville South High School in 1999 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and marketing from the University at Buffalo in 2003. He is a marketing coordinator with White Directory Publishers, a division of Hearst Holdings Inc. He is the former editor of The Ken-Ton Bee.

An August 2008 wedding is planned.
