Couple honeymoon in Las Vegas

Rita Bleekman married Karl David Heerdt in a noon ceremony on Friday Oct. 19, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Lockport. The Rev. Clarence W. Elliott officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Betty McCarthy of Ransomville and the stepdaughter of Bill Willis of Ransomville. The groom is the son of Joan Seagrave of Kenmore and the late Richard Heerdt.

The bride was escorted by David Holly, friend of the bride and groom.

She wore a satin A-line gown with rose beading and a detachable train with lace and rose embroidery. Her veil was lace with white satin trim.

The maid of honor was Ellen McCarthy, sister of the bride. The bridesmaid was Betty McCarthy, mother of the bride.

The best man was Richard Heerdt, brother of the groom. The ushers were Bill Willis, stepfather of the bride; Joan Seagrave, mother of the groom; and Keith Hale, friend of the bride and groom.

The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas.
