Meetings SCORE to hold business seminar in Tonawanda SCORE of Buffalo Niagara will host Starting and Managing Your Business from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. The workshop is for participants to learn the elements of business management required for success. It will also be helpful for those in business who may be experiencing problems or want to fine-tune their businesses for greater efficiency and success. Participants will learn about marketing research, marketing, business planning, insurance, federal and state taxes, legal structures, government resources, financing and counseling. Representatives from the private sector, SCORE, and government agencies will give presentations. SCORE members will be available for counseling. ALSA to host session on applications The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, Upstate Chapter, will hold an informational session titled "Medicaid and the Application Process," at 7 p.m. Monday Dec. 17 at the Eggertsville/Snyder Branch of the Amherst Library, 4622 Main St. William Daniels, coordinator of insurance outreach and counseling of the Erie County Department of Senior Services will give a presentation. The seminar is open to ALS patients, their family members and friends. BNI to offer member success program BNI business makers will hold a member success program from 6:45 to 10:30 a.m. Monday Dec. 17 at the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. The group will also hold a masters of inviting workshop from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, also at the Millennium Hotel.
