Robert W. Kersten, M&T vice president

Robert W. Kersten, of Snyder, died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007.

He was a vice president at M&T Bank.

Mr. Kersten was on the executive committee of the Diocesan Pastoral Council. As an active volunteer at Christ the King Church in Snyder, he served as a trustee, a member of the Parish Pastoral Council, treasurer of the Holy Name Society, an extraordinary minister and an adult altar server.

He was a member of the Downtown Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was the recipient of the St. Joseph the Worker Award in 2001. He was also a member of the Canisius College Alumni Sodality and served on numerous other committees.

Mr. Kersten is survived by his wife, Celeste.

Services were held on Friday, Nov. 29 at Dietrich Funeral Home and Christ the King Church.
