Grant awarded to puppeteer group

Kids on the Block of WNY, an educational puppet troupe sponsored by People Inc. and the Museum of disABILITY, has received a $1,000 grant from Target Corporation.

The grant will be used to purchase new soundtrack CDs and a CD player to be used during shows. The grant will also be used to provide stipends to volunteer puppeteers in appreciation of their commitment to the program.

Kids on the Block promotes disability awareness and the acceptance of differences to elementary school children across Western New York. Performances are provided to third- and fourth-grade classes in Erie and Niagara counties.
