General Pulaski Association names officers

Brian D. Rusk of Amherst has been elected to his 20th one-year term as president of the General Pulaski Association Inc.
Also elected were: first vice president, Alexandra Schmid; second vice president, Kenneth Graber; treasurer, Edward J. Reska Jr.; secretary, Jerry Inda; chaplain, the Rev. David Bialkowski; and honor directors, U.S. Judge William Skretny, Dr. Jack Kotlarz and former Erie County legislator Ray Dusza.
The association holds the largest Pulaski Day Parade in upstate New York in memory of fallen Revolutionary War hero Gen. Casimir Pulaski. The parade is held every July in Cheektowaga to kick off a weekend event. Other events are held throughout the year.
More than 100,000 people view the Pulaski Day parade each year. Former President John F. Kennedy, former Gov. George E. Pataki, and former Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller have led the Pulaski Day parades.
Rusk is also a 26-year member and past president of the Amherst South Rotary, board member of the Hope for Tomorrow Foundation, 28-year host of the Rusk Report on AM radio 1520 and board member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
